In order to upgrade from v2.1.x, you must run the automatic upgrade command or corresponding directions for your installation method, as listed in the upgrading documentation. You must also run the upgrade.sql file in your VWI database (be sure to change the table name if your prefix is anything other than vwi_).
To upgrade to from v2.0.x or older, you must do a complete clean install.

Version 2.1.0 contains additions to the MySQL database in addition to code changes. In order to upgrade you must both run the automatic upgrade command or corresponding directions for your installation method, as listed in the upgrading documentation and update your MySQL database using the following SQL query:
INSERT IGNORE INTO `vwi_config` (`VARIABLE`, `VALUE`) VALUES ('HEADER_AD', ''), ('FOOTER_AD', ''), ('ADMIN_ADS', 'true'), ('EXT_SCRIPT', '');
To upgrade to from v1.0.1 or older, you must do a complete clean install.

Version 2.0.0 requires PHP 7.1+ If your system requires PHP 5.4 - 7.0, use VWI version 1.0.1
Version 2.0.0 contains backwards incompatible changes to the VWI database system and therefore requires a clean installation to ensure compatibility.
To upgrade to from v1.0.1 or older, you must do a complete clean install.

There is a known rendering error in v0.5.2-Beta that may cause errors to be shown or data to be hidden.
To fix this error while v0.5.3-Beta is being developed, try renaming the /plugins/components/Waves folder to /plugins/components/waves
If this solution does not work, please open a new issue.
