SWradio 9 is a software decoder, for use with SDRplay devices, HackRF devices and some dabsticks.. It can be configured for use with a soundcard, the precompiled versions do not support that Decoders are apart from am and ssb, CW, PSK, RTTY and FT8 as amateur modes. FT8-decoder is still slightly experimental, but it supports passing on some data from the received messages to the PSKReporter site. Othger decoders are navtex and weatherfax. As usual, a windows installer and an AppImage are part of the distribution

The current version had so many changes that a new version number was needed. Rather than going for 8.3, it was feltthat it was time for a version 9 Major changes are a. support for SDRplay library V3, and a small widget for device selection on program start up b. an experimental ft8 decoder c. a rewrite of the DRM decoder to bring it in line with the one in the drm receiver An appImage for Linux and an installer for windows are available

Since last release, lots of work was done on the drm decoder Furthermore, a windows installer is created

**An experimental appImage is added. Note that in this appImage there is no indicator for the selected band. Note further that using a DABstick is limited. It is assumed that a library is used that allows frequency selection on lower bands. The library I use is attached, works only for RT820 based sticks Note that swradio uses complex input samples, i.e. I/Q samples, no direct sampling for DABsticks

Hackrf supports frequencies from 1 MHz, SDRplay (only the 2.13 library) supports frequencies from a few KHz up

Travis CI build log: https://travis-ci.org/JvanKatwijk/swradio-8/builds/474138715/

Included is an installer for windows. The installer, setup-swradio.exe, will install the executable and required libraries in a user specified (or default) folder. Note that the installer will call upon the official SDRplay installer to install dll files, implementing the api to get acess to the SDRplay device
