Open Kick-Off is a fun rewriting attempt of the cult football game Kick Off 2 designed by Dino Dini and released in 1990 by Anco for the Atari ST and the Commodore Amiga. It is written in Java with the help of libGDX.
An alpha version that displays the pitch, a scanner, the ball, and the team's players. A state machine is handling game states (introduction, prepare for kickoff in play, and throw in). You can only apply a force to the ball instead by pressing 'S', 'D' (East, West), and 'E', 'X' (North, South). The players are positioning on their home locations according to a tactic and the ball location. They move to another location when the ball enters a new region. Scanner size is toggling with 'A' Zoom in with 'I', Zoom out with 'O'
