The term "release candidate" means that the developers believe this version of the software is reliable. Nevertheless, we do not yet recommend installing and using it on production websites. If you do install SMF 2.1 RC4, you do so at your own risk, and you should expect to encounter some bugs. We encourage you to report any bugs you find.
