I finally had some time to have a look at why the add-on stopped working with Blender 4.0. Please test this release candidate version and let me know if it works as expected. 🙏

Known shortcomings:

• There is no automatic way to update pre-4.0 Blender files containing projectors. This is possible, but I don't have the time to implement it at the moment.
