v3.1.0

Spotify playlist urls like https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZEVXbJiZcmkrIHGU (without the user part) are now supported. The parser has been rewritten and some refactors have been made. Thanks to Reddit user lakingscrzy1 for bringing this new URL scheme to my attention.

Due to limits on Heroku's free plans, I decided to switch to my own server. This should improve performance quite a bit.

Playify has been rewritten from the ground up, including the backend. This way, Playify will be more maintainable and has a more stable code base.

New features

  • transfer an unlimited amount of tracks (Google may limit playlists to 1000 songs)
  • custom URLs to allow every streaming service
  • detail pages instead of instant redirects
  • some design changes

This version may have some minor bugs. If you find one, please file an issue.

Playify now supports the Google Play Music Desktop Player. In order to use it, install the update, click on the Playify icon and select Google Play Music Desktop Player. Before you can use it though, you need to pair GPMDP with Playify. It's a simple process. To start, click 'Setup' next to 'Google Play Music Desktop Player' and follow the steps.
