We are working on Open Design 2.0, which will not be backwards compatible with the current version of the SDK. For info on the status of the new version, follow our blog or twitter @opendesigndev.
Status
Open Design SDK is still undergoing heavy development, but is used in production by at least two companies. At the moment the focus is on releasing a stable API.
