MoreWaita Versions Save

Marking one year since first publishing this theme, v45 is now out to keep track with Gnome Shell. MoreWaita now covers 220 apps, 63 mimetypes, and 22 folders. This amounts to more than one icon a day (including symbolic ones), which comes as a surprise to me. This release finally introduces new icons requested by the community as far back as January and up until last week. Community suggestions are being worked on, so there's still more to come in future releases. Enjoy!

Several new updates from contributors and a few minor fixes. Working on more icons gearing up to v45.

This release brings 10 new app icons, several icon updates and fixes, and a few mimetype changes.

This release of MoreWaita sees a remake of mimetypes and folders to stick to upstream changes in Adwaita, as well as the addition of new mimetypes and folders. Legacy folders are still supported for those on older versions of GNOME.
No new app icons this time, but many are coming in the next point release.
The theme currently supports 160 apps, 60 mimetypes, and 10 extra folders.

This release brings initial support for mimetypes with 40 new icons, as well as new LibreOffice icons. Loads of cleanup work in the background and new symlinks to support more apps.

After over 5 weeks of work, 120 commits, and several invaluable contributions from @dusansimic and @julianfairfax, I'm happy to present MoreWaita v43.2 just in time for Gnome's respective point release.

This is a major update with tons of small improvements and bugfixes, a few reworks, and dozens of new icons requested by the community after the initial release. MoreWaita now supports 140 applications (including Microsoft's new official Teams PWA), and offers 5 additional folder icons.

With loads of small fixes, some complete overhauls, and several new icons added, this release of MoreWaita now has at least 110 apps covered in many common scenarios.

10 more apps are in the works for the next release about the time Gnome 43.2 hits stable.

This is a minor bug-fix release tackling an issue with Riot not being assigned to the Element icon.

This is the first point release of the MoreWaita icon theme for Gnome Shell.

In this release 10 new icons were added, thanks in part to contributions by @dusansimic The new icons are mostly for different popular messengers like Facebook, Signal, etc. Some of the original icons were reworked to make the theme more consistent and clear out a couple of bugs. The versioning system has been adjusted to match Gnome's. By following Gnome's versioning scheme with an extra point step for our own minor intermediate releases, we'll be making it easier for users to understand how up-to-day a release is and whether the theme is still maintained.

This is the first public release of this icon theme with 80 apps covered by full colour and symbolic icons and dozens of symlinks to cover for icon name variants including Flatpak.
