This is a huge release thanks to our active contributors, so enjoy this big update!

Addition:

  • New items:

    • Aluminum: A light metal
    • Insulator Alloy: A mixture of Surge Alloy and Plastanium
    • Sulfur: A product of processed Oil
    • Scrap Plate: A cheap material
    • Radioactive Spore Pod: A mutated Spore Pod, corrupted by Uranium
    • Alien Spore Pod: A highly radioactive, slimy, and gross substance
    • Contaminated Water: Irradiated water, usually found near Uranium patches
    • Coil: An electric coil
  • New core blocks:

    • Core: Sword: A core block mounted with a turret
  • New conveyors and item buffers:

    • Iron Conveyor: A conveyor whose speed is between regular and titanium conveyor
    • Aluminum Conveyor: A conveyor whose speed is even faster than titanium, but has lower health
    • Crate: A small, simple item buffer
  • New conduits and liquid buffers:

    • Liquid Container: A smaller liquid tank
  • New turrets:

    • Lobber: A cheap artillery turret
    • Spectrum: A power turret. Forms a prism that can shoot multiple targets
    • Supernova: Her reign begins
    • Windstorm: A direct upgrade of Blow
    • M.A.R.S: Magnetic Accelerated Railgun System. Extremely powerful. Requires large amount of power and 3 Power Amplifier to work properly
  • New drills:

    • Advanced Water Extractor: A small, precise, and more efficient water extractor
    • Crusher Drill: A cheap, small drill
  • New crafters:

    • Insulating Compound: Smelts Surge Alloy and Plastanium to make Insulator Alloy
    • Scrap Compactor: Compacts Scrap into Scrap Plate
    • Coil Winder: Winds coil from copper and plastanium
    • Polluter: Dissolves radioactive substance into Water to make Contaminated Water
    • Dissolver: A more efficient Polluter
    • Mutator: Irradiates Spore Pod with Contaminated Water
    • Molecular Dissipator: Separates the radioactive substances in Radioactive Spore Pod
  • New power blocks:

    • Liquid Combustion Engine: A power generator that uses liquid flammability to generate power
    • Power Amplifier: Place it besides a building that requires it and said building will work
  • New defensive blocks:

    • Frost Aura: Same like Fire Aura but freezes nearby enemies
    • Insulator Wall and Large Insulator Wall: A special type of block that transforms bullet power into energy. Works more efficient when absorbing electric arcs
    • Steel Wall and Large Steel Wall: A strong defensive wall
  • New miscellaneous blocks:

    • Slag Bomb: A canister trap filled with slag and explodes on contact
    • Spotlight: A rotatable light source pointing in one direction
    • Magnetic Sieve: A sand sieve equipped with magnet to extract iron
    • Recycler: Consumes Slag, outputs the world
  • New unit factories:

    • Demeter Factory: Assembles Demeter
    • Rapier Factory: Assembles Rapier
    • Scrapper Factory: Assembles Scrapper
    • Viper Factory: Assembles Viper
  • New units:

    • Apollyon: A Purple-tier boss with 4 pairs of weapons
    • Demeter: A weaponized miner drone with decent self-defense capabilities
    • Project Mil: A small worm-like unit
    • Project Googol: A mechanical worm that can split into segments of smaller worm
    • Seeder Mothership: A cyan-tiered worm carrying payloads of Seeder destroyers
    • Scrapper: A melee ground unit
    • Rapier: A ground unit which shoots a special sword projectile that teleports when collides and targets closest enemy, ~totally not inspired from Terraria's Influx Waver~
    • Dominator: A ground unit which shoots extremely accurate high velocity bullets from a flak, ~totally not inspired from Terraria's Xenopopper~
    • Viper: A Cyan-tier helicopter unit with 3 pairs of weapons
  • New maps:

    • Derelict Desert Outpost (attack)
    • Distress Signal (survival)
    • Frozen Lake (attack)
    • Vulcanic Chokepoint

This rather small update adds a new block along with removing the annoying drill behavior with stone tiles.

Changes:

  • Quarry: a drill designated solely for extracting cobblestone from the ground.
  • fixed: (#38) drills prioritize cobblestone over ores where it should behave like sand

The biggest update since the first release of MechWarfare is here! Here is a list of additions and changes in this version:

Addition:

  • Halberd ability: releases electric orbs when at peak velocity
  • Upsylon ability: extra plasma cannon
  • Vortex: a strong, purple-class ship capable of generating energy shield to protect itself
  • Battleaxe: a fighter unit equipped with lava-rocket launchers; deadly against ground units
  • M-Tron: a heavy ground unit equipped with energy rifles
  • Serpent: a light helicopter mounted with light guns and missile launchers
  • Anarchy: a ground boss unit equipped with a pair of Quake-type long-range blasters
  • Fire Aura: a defense block that applies fire damage to all units within its radius; doesn't affect blocks
  • Seism a.k.a. Quake MK2: possesses a better firepower and range than Quake
  • MK2 Module: used in construction of advanced and high-tech structures, defenses, and utilities
  • MK2 Module Assembler: assembles MK2 modules
  • Added unit factory for Chaos Array
  • Added a base block for 5x5 turrets (sprite by @kapzduke)
  • A new campaign map (attack!)

Changes:

  • Front Gate map has been updated
  • Lowered health for Halberd as it is now a hit-and-run mech
  • Blow is now a double-burst turret, and bullets don't pierce anymore
  • Quake now rotates faster, reloads faster, and recovers from recoil faster (generally... Quake is now faster)
  • Ghost now accepts surge alloy as ammo (and it's shockingly effective)
  • Sabre factories now requires acid as input
  • Sabre factories now supports up to 4 units
  • Phantasm now has narrower shoot cone, but rotates faster
  • Hover units now have their engine colors matching their class colors
  • Removed idle sound for several crafter blocks
  • Various tweaks and balancing
  • Minor sprite corrections
  • Changes to mod description
  • fixed: Voltmeter electric bolt animation plays even when the game is paused
  • fixed: Voltmeter heat doesn't go down when no power is available
  • internal: Library for effects and custom color palette

  • New resource: cobblestone (mineable from a wide variety of floor tiles)
  • New crafter blocks to process cobblestone: Stone Grinder, Stone Melter, Stone Centrifuge
  • New core block: Origin
  • New mech: Upsylon (shotgun mech, powerful for close-quarter combat)
  • New mech pad for Upsylon
  • New turrets: Incandescence (beam turret; name by @feu-follet), Voltmeter (Tesla turret, comes with awesome visual effects!), Ghost (advanced anti-air flak turret)
  • Introduces unit tiers (divides units into 4 classes)
  • Now includes French translation (translation by @feu-follet)

Changes:

  • All unit factories (including vanilla) now show their units' class color indicator on their tops
  • Reinforced wall now can mend itself without power; now requires phase fabric to build
  • (vanilla) Separator now also outputs iron
  • (vanilla) Fortress mech factory now supports up to 4 Fortress units

  • Halved AP and HE shell crafting requirements
  • AP and HE shells now yield 4x ammo multiplier for Quake

  • Tweaked uranium ore default threshold for mapgen
  • Fixed misnomer in mod.json (likely to cause campaign progress loss, sorry)
