Upgraded Seagate Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S 1 TB to 2 TB model ... only to immediately discover it 75% full. Guess who may be getting an 8 TB external SATA SSD in the near future? Crazy how I'm about to drop 1000 USD on gaming storage out of the blue things work out, huh? Maybe this whole thing is pathological, lol. But it just doesn't make sense to have to spend forever waiting for XSX enhanced games to shuttle between the (datacenter, mind you) external HDD and the XSX.
As to where that HDD will be moved to, you're gonna shit when you find out. I know I did.
Replaced OpenIndiana on Dell OptiPlex 390 MT (Unit 1) with TrueNAS CORE. Backup details updated accordingly.
Added Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro, Galaxy Watch Charger (Fast Charging), & 15 W Wireless Charger Duo. Ironically the latter doesn't work with my Note9 due to the Note9's case, and it doesn't work with the Watch5 Pro either due to the D-buckle not allowing the watch to sit flat on the charging surface. So it's being used as a beside charger for the Apple iPhone SE 3rd Generation.
After well over a year of Wi-Fi dropouts, my S5 has started to regularly corrupt microSD cards. From previous experience with my Moto Z2 Force, that signals an intractable hardware problem. Since the phone's onboard storage is so small it's useless for modern purposes without an adopted SD card, the phone itself is rendered useless and has been retired. The 128 GB microSD card in it has been removed.
One can't help but be amazed that a phone that was widely derided as having "poor build quality" lasted nearly 8.5 years, well past its 1 year warranty and 2 years of intended service. Samsung's hardware quality is top notch.
A gazillion updates that I'll try to summarize:
And that's all I can recall at this point, folks
Pro Tip: the next time you have weird installation or low space errors on a device with an adopted microSD card, check to ensure the card hasn't died and gone into read-only mode.
The above happened to me and I wasted a lot of time uninstalling apps I wound up reinstalling after I set up the warranty replacement card anyway.
So, to cut a long story short: the SanDisk Ultra microSD Class 10 128 GB Card in my Samsung Galaxy S5 has been replaced under warranty by a SanDisk SDSQUB3-128G-GN6MA Ultra Plus microSDXC UHS-I 128 GB Card. Based on the replacement card's part number, it seems SanDisk US warranty replacement units are EMEA(/AUS/NZ?) retail units. Draw your own conclusions.
That said, it's kinda hard to complain about getting a warranty replacement for anything electronic in its EIGHTH year of life. For all the bad rap microSD cards get, SanDisk's warranty for them is the best of anything tech, even enterprise storage.

Me: Hey why I can't watch OTA TV on my devices when I'm out of the house without an internet connection? You know, for emergencies (+ live streaming on mobile data is generally awful)
So anyway, now I have USB tuners for the Samsung Galaxy Note9 & Tab S7, Google Pixel 3 XL, and Lenovo L380 Yoga. Of course the cases for the Note9 and 3 XL prevent the tuners from completely connecting to the USB-C port, so I got hubs with pass-through charging to fix that.
I promise you no one else does capability like I do.
