Use i3wm/i3-gaps with GNOME Session infrastructure.
This version adds support for merging .Xresources
before i3
starts.
Following @zyv's #89:
Unfortunately, on Ubuntu 20.04 with i3-gnome
the login manager (gdm
) doesn't do it for whatever reasons. Therefore settings like this just don't take effect:
Xft.dpi: 192
Xcursor.size: 48
It is possible to exec xrdb
from i3
config, but then the settings get applies too late, after i3
has already started, and i3
has to be restarted to function correctly.

This update focus on the pkgbuild for AUR on Arch Linux, which involves more GNOME packages such as gnome-session
as a dependency and this is a kind-of notification to let know that i3-gnome still works with the latest version of GNOME
This version start with a little fix to get i3-gnome usable again. Thanks to @muktupavels for his approach.
Using a more precise description.
