calibrate ETAS, simulate using ETAS, estimate completeness magnitude & magnitude frequency distribution
new functionality to visualise the triggering laws and how they fit to the observed data.
as it seems people are using this repository, it was time to clean it up a bit and add some explanations. this release is the hopefully much more user-friendly version of the previous one.
includes important fix to the previous release in ETAS parameter inversion.
This includes the option for (space-time-)varying completeness magnitude in the parameter inversion, as described in: Leila Mizrahi, Shyam Nandan, Stefan Wiemer 2021; Embracing Data Incompleteness for Better Earthquake Forecasting. (Section 3.1) Journal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth; doi: https://doi.org/10.1029/2021JB022379
contains code to calibrate ETAS parameters for a given complete earthquake catalog, and to simulate synthetic catalogs based on estimated ETAS parameters
