DCAT AP Versions Save

This current version of DCAT-AP 3.0.0 is fully aligned and compatible with the working draft of DCAT 3.

In order to increase the maturity of the specification, we invite you to provide feedback during a public review period. The review period will last until 30 September 2023 after which all feedback will be integrated through direct interaction on GitHub and a webinar.

Some changes to the specification we would like to highlight are:

• The specification is now released as HTML using the ReSpec style.
• The descriptive texts from 2.1.1 were separated into definitions and usage notes.
• All relevant classes and properties were aligned with and linked to their equivalent in DCAT 3.
• In order to enhance the readability all entities have been rearranged into: Main Entities, Supportive Entities and Datatypes.
• The classes Dataset Series and Dataset member of a Dataset Series were added.
• The deprecations from DCAT 3.0 were applied by replacing the mapping to the URIs for the impacted properties.

Additionally various changes were applied to solve issues and align with DCAT 3.0 an overview of those can be found in the consolidated changelog.

Bugfix release.

The addressed topics consider minor changes in

• the UML representation: cardinality of the dcat:dataset was incorrect
• the RDF representation: prefix pointed to incorrect base URI
• the SHACL representation: - sh:shape does not exists, - sh:property should not have an empty path
• the doc/pdf representation: - fix the references to the vocabulary URIs for - ADMS status vocabulary to http://purl.org/adms/status/1.0 - ADMS publisher type vocabulary to http://purl.org/adms/publishertype/1.0 - ADMS licence type vocabulary to http://purl.org/adms/licencetype/1.0

Additionally validated the shapes using https://www.itb.ec.europa.eu/shacl/shacl/upload according to W3C Core level

The changes implemented in DCAT-AP version 2.1.0 are related to the following issues:

• Improved UML diagram in accordance with the agreed profile reading
• Improved coherency between the UML diagram and the specification text
• A usage guide on the relationships between Dataset, Distribution and Data Service; and the consequences of this clarification on the model
• Various editorial fixes
• Consolidation of the SHACL shapes
• Minor specification updates: - Introduction of the NAL planned-availability, NAL access-right and NAL dataset-type - Lift of the max-cardinality for dataset dct:type - Lift of the max-cardinality for property dct:creator - Allow other than SHA1 checksum algorithms - The range for temporal properties is enlarged to contain any temporal XSD datatype - Alignment of usage notes for reused property adms:status with W3C DCAT - Addition of max-cardinality 1 for dcat:temporalResolution and dcat:spatialResolutionInMeters to align with the usage note

Bugfix release of DCAT-AP

The final DCAT-AP 2.0.0 release documents. This release addresses the topics discussed in the issues tagged with the label release:2.0.0-november2019.

Final published files for DCAT-AP v1.2.1. The changes implemented in the draft documents for DCAT-AP version 1.2.1 are related to the comments mentioned in these issues #54 , #50 from GitHub.

1. Update references to Publications Office Metadata Registry in DCAT-AP v1.2.1 published .DOC, .PDF and .ODT as in #54 . Metadata Registry (MDR) changed to EU Vocabularies in references 21-27, 41 and vocabulary names in section 5.2.
2. Updated DCAT-AP UML schema as in #50 , by changing the order of startDate and endDate in dct:PeriodOfTime in the diagram DCAT-AP_1.2.1.PNG. The diagram was updated in DCAT-AP v1.2.1 published .DOC, .PDF an .ODT.
3. with retroactive applied shacl files in the style of release 2.0.0

Draft files for DCAT-AP v1.2.1 to be reviewed by the DCAT-AP Working Group during the Public Review period. The changes implemented in the draft documents for DCAT-AP version 1.2.1 are related to the comments mentioned in these issues #54 , #50 from GitHub.
