Bouncy Road Mania

Bouncy Road Mania can be described as the spiritual successor to Karateka Mania, but for Bouncy Road.
It is a full emulator for creating and playing custom Bouncy Road games. All features from every Rhythm Heaven game where it is featured is included, along with a few extra for more challenge and creativity.

Requirements

  • Java 8 or newer
  • A graphics driver that supports OpenGL 3.0 or higher
  • Windows 7 or newer, Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan) or macOS 10.12 (Sierra) or newer, Linux (recommended Ubuntu 18.04 LTS or newer)

Installation

Installation is straightforward.

  1. Go to the most recent release and download the BouncyRoadMania_X.zip file, where X is the version number.
  2. Once downloaded, extract this zip file to a location like the Desktop. On Windows, open the zip file and click Extract. On macOS, use The Unarchiver to extract the zip file.
  3. Open the extracted folder, and double click the file named run_windows.bat, run_macOS.sh, or run_linux.sh depending on your operating system.

Licensing and Credits

Much of this program has assets and code used from the Rhythm Heaven Remix Editor. As such, it retains the GNU General Public License v3.0 license.

Some menus have music made by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com), licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 (CC BY 3.0). Respective credit for each piece is visible in the menu they play in.
