IMPORTANT! This will be the last version with support for windows for the VSCP daemon.
VSCP Works will still be available on windows but it's functionality will be moved to the web interface over time.

General

REST interface is fully working again.
New version of the HTML5 interface. Install with "make web-files"

Several endian conversions fixed.
Fixed long timeout when connecting to remote host (reported by some as a hang).

VSCP Works

Fixed problems with default window sizes.
Float/double abstraction values are now handled correctly.
Fixed problem with write of bit 8 of class mask/filter when a decision matrix row was written.
VSCP Works configuration window now remembers selections after an update.
Shortcuts is now available that move to specific pages in the configuration of vscp works by right clicking the register grid.
Added new menu in VSCP Works config (Transport) with shortcuts for fast moves.
Abstraction edit is now moved to a menu item that is made visible by right clicking a cell and which works much the same as for registers.
It is now possible to edit in place also for abstractions in VSCP Works.

General - Updated to Mongoose to latest version 6.4 (affects webserver and websockets). - Windows configure folder for vscpd is \programdata\vscp (broken in last release due to changes in wxWindgets 3.1). - SQLite3 updated to latest version.

mqtt driver fully rewritten and Windows version added.
Fixed problem with time zone during summer saving time which caused calculations to be off.
Refresh problem for websocket pages fixed.
Added switch to daemon config setting 'disableauthentication' to make it possible to disable web authentication.
Web authentication was broken. Fixed.
Fixed problem on Linux preventing web widgets working correctly.
fgcolor and background colours can now be set directly in mdf for registry rows in the vscp works configuration window.
VSCP Works now support block and dmmatrix1 register types in the mdf file. See http://www.vscp.org/docs/vscpspec/doku.php?id=module_description_file&#register_types
REST interface completly worked through.
Security problem when loadeing page sin web i/f fixed.
Wizard for CANAL driver setup implemented.
CAN4VSCP driver major update with new features.
It is possible to ente a server name in the VSCP daemon configuration file that gives a symbolic name for the server.

This is the 1.0.1 Neon release of VSCP & Friends.

This is mainly a bug fix release of VSCP & Friends and it fixes many bugs and instabilities introduced by the big changes made when the communication engine was changed before last release.

There are also plenty of new stuff added in this release.

One driver has been added for windows. This is the vscpl2_sim driver which is now available for both windows and Linux and can be used as a device when testing a VSCP system without having physical hardware. This driver is installed by default and the web examples interact with this driver today. You can read more about it here

The can4vscp driver has been around for a while now but it now fully supports the VSCP serial standard which you can find described here The driver is documented here

Grodans Paradis AB sells a module that uses this driver, Frankfurt RS-232, and which can be used as a low cost interface to a CAN4VSCP bus. You can find more information about this hardware here. While you are there also checkout all the other VSCP modules that are available from the Grodans Paradis AB aka Paradise of the Frog.

So there is a lot for stuff available. If you want to support this development the best thing you can do is to buy something from the Frogshop, or contribute code or report/fix bugs.

This version of VSCP & Friends has many new enhancements and new features. The communication engine has been rewritten from scratch and also other parts has been completely rewritten and reorganized. New from this version is that the full package is available on the Windows platform again. The package, as it always have, builds and works on Linux, including Raspberry Pi, Carambola, Beaglebone Black etc, etc.

Built in scheduler for control and/or database logging, and for fulfill every dram you have in control and logging.
