UWPHook Versions Save

Hi guys, long time no see! The reports of the death of the project have been greatly exaggerated, just trying to not break what works.

Today i bring a small set of changes that fix some small bugs that might plague some users, and one fix that fixes a major bug that went too long without being noticed:

Changelog:

• No longer destroy user set launch-option by using a new version of SharpSteam and VDFParser with proper support for some newer tags, big thanks to @FlaminSarge 😃.
• No longer crash when users don't have a config directory.
• Bring newly added shortcuts to the top of the library by setting their LastPlayTime to Unix timestamp now.
• Update dependencies, fix codebase to account for these updates.

There is now a new simpler installer that uses NSIS instead of AdvancedInstaller.

• Fixed 'value range' error when adding Sea of Thieves to Steam and launching it. Gears of War Ultimate Edition probably had the same issue.

• Improved the new fullscreen launcher for Streaming games so it won't look like it is frozen/crashed.

Hi guys, long time no see!

Sorry for looking like this project died, it's just that i can't find a non-hacky way to make some things like proper joystick while streaming work, and making a half-assed feature would break a lot of things.

I've brought this release with a few improvements:

• A installer!
• A better experience when streaming: Now a new window will show up, with dark background while Steam is preparing the streaming, should make things more fluid.
• Show proper names for Sea of Thieves and GOW Ultimate Edition

Hope you guys like this! The project could be not updated in a while, but it's not dead.

Hi people, sorry for the long time I kept you waiting for this fix, I know this bug has been around for quite some time but I just didn't had the time to debug it, but now it is here:

IN-HOME STREAMING FIXED!

These fixes I've worked are functional over here at least and now UWP Games are all working as before, I still haven't found a workaround for the controllers, but since Steam now has an Xbox 360 configurator akin to the Steam Controller I might be capable of doing more progress towards remote streaming with controller support without needing to use a third party tool like VirtualHere.

Now, UWPHook will automatically add your UWP apps and games to Steam, it detects every app on your system and with a single click, adds them to Steam, including setting it's icon!

And on the settings page you will find a new option, called "Enable streaming mode", check this in the host computer to fix in-home streaming for UWP games.

2.2.1: Fixes a problem with apps that had protected or invalid images, fixing mainly the problem with Forza Horizon 3. Also, from now on I will upload releases on .zip format.

PS: If you have one of the releases before 2.0, please, re-add your UWP games to Steam using the new version.

2.1.4: Fixes users with corrupted or too short VDF config files and fixes Forza Apex not showing up as a installed app.

2.1.2: This release gets the real name for all the apps installed on your pc, and excludes framworks, making it easier to find what you want, for example, Forza Horizon should be called "Forza Horizon 3" instead of Microsoft.OpusPG.

2.1.1: Some users had corrupted apps installed on their machines, this aims to fix that,

2.1.0: Last patch i published something that wasn't quite working. This fixes both that and users that don't have any shortcut added on Steam before running UWPHook.

I just got Forza Horizon, played it for 30 minutes and went to fix it, so i found that not every name on appsfolder is the name that we should use to make the shell call metro apps, but i'm working on a fix, meanwhile, this release contains the correct appurl for Horizon.

Now, when you launch your game from Steam, UWPHook will run silently on the background, making the experience seamless once configured on Steam, it will check every five seconds if your game is running, if it is not, UWPHook will close it self.

Moved the remove option from double click to a context menu, working on a fix for Halo 5.
