Start with a clean installation on a clean box if possible. MongoDB collections and ElasticSearch indices are unfortunately not compatible to previous versions. (Setups from preview.2 on are compatible)

• There is a new configuration parameter that must be set or the server will refuse to start: retention_strategy. It is documented in the provided example graylog2.conf.

• We recommend that you upgrade ElasticSearch from v0.90.6 to v0.90.7.
• No configuration changes. Just replacing the packages and using the old configuration files works.
