Entries having only one source entry from anidb.net had no defined season until now. Now the season is extracted for all meta data providers.
This week I added data about the anime season. Anime season is an object containing the year of premiere and the season.
This week I added tags. It is a list containing both tags (if available) and genres (if available). I've been asked if I could add genres before. From my perspective genres are a specific set of options in which you can cluster anime. However different sites use different genres and merging this would be extensive and time-consuming. Since I need this myself, I decided to add the genres as tags. The advantage is that I don't have to consider anything else but removing duplicates. The downside is that synonyms are very likely.
Example: An anime might be tagged with scifi, sci fi sci-fi. sciencefiction, science-fiction and science fiction.
This is of course an exaggeration, but it demonstrates it very well. For tags, however, I think this okay, because tags don't aspire to be treated like a curated list.

I noticed that the meta data provider often list dead entries as related anime. Starting this week dead entries are being removed from related anime.
