Changelog (Project file related changes)

  • Updated to framework 4.5 and added required dependency changes to the repository.
  • New BepInEx version included.

This update does not contain any actual changes to the code, its merely a repackaged version with the newest BepInEx version. No code changes are required to my current knowledge to be fully functional with the newest version of Valheim.

The version number stays the same, there will only be a new upload to Nexus mods to update the contained BepInEx version. Thunderstore users have no need to update anything.

Sorry for the short delay this time, next time will be quicker.

  • Fixed issues related to Guardian Buff changes not being applied, again.
  • Added a option for more compatibility by adding stunInformation to the [Tameable] section to turn off the previously forced feature to display the stun status of tamed creatures.
  • Re-written most of the [Tameable] section features.
  • The feature for setting tamed creatures to be Essential (mortality=1) now properly works as intended, tamed creatures can be hurt and get stunned when they're about to die but don't die in almost every case.
  • The feature for setting tamed creatures to be Immortal (mortality=2) now properly works as intended, tamed creatures can not be damaged by anything and thus are fully invincible.
  • ownerDamageOverride now either allows the usage of the Butcher Knife on animals or prevents it. The default value is true, since you can always kill tamed creatures with a butcher knife in vanilla Valheim. For this option to work you need to have mortality to set to either essential or immortal.
  • Updated descriptions for [Tameable] section.
  • Added a option for auto pickup of items when overweight/encumbered to the Player section.
  • Added a option to the Player Section called "dontUnequipItemsWhenSwimming" which allows you to disable the removal of your main and off-hand items when swimming.
  • Fixed the options allowCraftingFromShips and allowCraftingFromShips, these required adjustments to the mask we used to find the objects in your surroundings. They both now work as intended.
  • Added onions to the descriptions inside the documentation and configuration file, they where already included in the functionality just not mentioned.

Changelog (Map Pin UI) There are lots of improvements planned for this feature, they will take a few more days/weeks to finish.

  • Removed the forced usage of the Map Pin UI
  • Removed the Map Pin UI
  • shareAllPins now properly sends the pin to all peers if enabled without changing any UI elements.
  • Updated descriptions in the documentation, readme.md and configuration file on the Map Section.
  • The changes to the code of the Map Pin UI should vastly increase compatibility with other mods.

There is still lots of things on my to do list to improve and implement. Please be patient with us and me, there will be continues progress every week from now on.

About descriptions and documentation : We also will have to manually update the ReadMe.md and the Nexus mod description the following days because they miss some of the features we have implemented either recently or quite some time ago. Sadly Nexus uses custom BBCode and is not compatible with .md syntax. This is more work than you might expect. More on that soon.

  • Fixed disableFog option to now correctly remove Mist clouds as well. Please report if our solution does not work as intended.
  • Fixed guardian powers casted in proximity of the player not being affected by the guardian power duration defined in the configuration.
  • Fixed some mods chests not being detected by automation systems due to a incorrect usage of location in the CraftFromChest functionality. If you encounter any weird new behavior due to this change with this patch, please write a bug report.
  • Added riding skill to the experience section.
  • Added 2 new options allowCraftingFromCarts, allowCraftingFromShips to the CraftFromChest section.
  • Added fishing to the StaminaUsage section to affect the usage of fishing poles and reeling in fish.
  • ! IMPORTANT: forceConsole is now called disableConsole and instead disables the console or doesn't interfere with it at all. This is more in-line with the rest of the features we offer and makes more sense in general.
  • Fixed descriptions and defaults in the documentation for Iron Chests and configuration file.
  • Fixed incorrect default size of Iron Chests to 6, 4 instead of 8,4.
  • Added Black Metal chests to be supported by the Inventory section properly.
  • Lowered the minimum amount of columns to 3 on chests instead of 6.
  • Fixed GridAlignmentSystem not properly working or issues turning it on/off in multiplayer with multiple people in the same area.
  • Fixed wrong code scopes in the Projectile functionality, this should vastly improve random errors in conjunction with other mods that modify projectiles. Added additional error handling to projectile modification, just in case.
  • Fixed the comfort radius calculation errors and re-written the code to be less intrusive and more precise.

The best way to let us know about errors or unexpected behavior is here on github or the nexus page for valheim plus. We check every bug report, please make sure that you report issues you encounter with the required detail for us to fix them.

Additionally a note about the issues with Black Metal chests, I am really sorry that the error caused some people to loose items. I personally fully understand how frustrating it is to loose progress due to mistakes that aren't yours. We try to make sure to get every bug, issue and problem before publishing a release~ this obviously doesn't work all the time. We hope we can make up for that with the increase in quality of the mod within the next few weeks.

  • The Transpiler responsible for slowing down time calculation for food still works, the display just simply doesn't show the changed time, we will implement something for that soon. We choose to stay with this way of modification since most mods are adapted to it.

  • Added a [Chat] Section to the settings
  • Added a option called forcedCase to disable forced Uppercase and Lowercase when shouting or whispering
  • Added pingDistance and shoutDistance, if you are outside of this range in meters in comparison to the creator of the shouts or ping- you will not see the ping on the map or the shout on the map. If these values are set to 0, the functions are disabled.
  • Added outOfRangeShoutsDisplayInChatWindow, if you have this enabled you will still be able to see all shouts in your chat window even if you are out of shoutDistance range.
  • Added defaultWhisperDistance to modify the default chat distance for whispering ingame.
  • Added defaultNormalDistance to modify the default chat distance for normal talking ingame.
  • Added defaultShoutDistance to modify the default chat distance for shouting ingame.
  • Added itemsFloatInWater option in Items category, which allows for all dropped items to float in water.
  • Auto Deposit should now work more reliable with beehives.
  • Option for when unequipping the worn one-handed weapon to also unequip the shield from inventory.
  • Generic 4x8 containers no longer affected by inventory size adjustments, instead only the grave and player inventory.
  • All new light sources now affected by Fireplace settings
  • Comfort changes now properly applied (issue started with 0.204.4)
  • Carts no longer influenced by disableDamageToPlayerStructures

Soon

  • Adding missing crafting stations to be supported by auto features.
  • Removal of the pin sharing system, the new in-game table is a better solution.
  • Changes to the EXP display.
  • Better Hotkey implementation.
  • Better settings menu and control over settings.

Version Changes

  • The releases after this one will no longer be having any [STABLE] or [UNSTABLE] tags, since I have to check every release and function myself. If something slips past, I will push a new update with a Hotfix.
  • I have a few things I want to implement before going into version 1.0+

I will personally make sure to get V+ to a stable LTS viable state, I got plenty of bugs noted~ most of them aren't that important so I will try to package these into solid releases so people don't have to update their mod every 2 days.

  • Fixed Auto Deposit behavior of the Beehive
  • Auto Deposit of the Beehive no longer deposits to chests as soon as it has honey but instead when its full.
  • Fixed Auto Deposit behavior related to Beehive gathering sounds being played every 10 seconds.
  • Fixed Fireplace behavior, fires are now correctly included or excluded by being auto filled / never running out of fuel.
  • Fixed issues related to custom tools from other mods having 0 durability with the durability section enabled.

Known Issues

  • Map Pin/Marker sharing still does not work properly in all cases, if you encounter issues with your map- deactivate it.

There are a few known issues that where present in previous versions. We are around 90% sure that we catched all severe issues due to the H&H update. However, you can never be entirely sure so if you do find issues please report them to us.

EDIT: About Tar.Gz The website we previously used to pack the .tar.gz files changed the way it worked and just re-factored the entire contents of the package to unix file system paths. As soon as we noticed, we reuploaded everything in the correct format, sorry! Should be resolved now, Github cache might still contain old data.
